Pocket Somm focuses on producers from all over the world who farm with integrity and prioritize low intervention winemaking. The goal is simple: selecting wines that are free of flaws and additives, but full of character and soul.

The Special Club
The Special Club focuses exclusively on Grower Champagne, also known as Farmer Fizz. These are bottles from small, independent producers who grow their own grapes and treat Champagne as a site-specific wine rather than a manufactured luxury brand.
Through this club, you will explore a collection of diverse Champagnes while learning about site-specific sub-regions, varied terroir, and the families who have lived on the land for generations.

The Wine Club Ethos
Pocket Somm was created to cut through the noise of the commercial wine industry.
Because there are no ingredient labels on wine, many drinkers aren't aware of the additives used to create a consistent, commercially-made product. If you have ever enjoyed wine in Europe and wondered why you felt better the next morning, it is often due to the strict regulations on what can be added to the bottle.
Not all wine is created this way, but finding the bottles that are made with intention takes work. This is where Pocket Somm comes in. Amy focuses on small artisan producers from all over the world, who follow the practices of minimal intervention.
By prioritizing biodynamic and regenerative farming practices over pesticides and additives, Pocket Somm picks wines that truly reflect the place and the hands that made them.
A sense of place. Wine really only thrives within a narrow band—between the 30th and 50th parallels in each hemisphere. Within those lines, factors like geologic history, elevation, sunlight, and temperature all create a unique thumbprint on the grape.
